It may actually be a good thing to lose a bit of hair when taking B vitamins. Taking these vitamins will make your hair less prone to damage since it strengthens the follicles. Therefore, you want to have an intake of plenty of B vitamins such as are found in whole grains, bananas, potatoes and beans. B vitamins are antioxidants just like A and E vitamins. Not only do they make your hair healthier and stronger, they also get rid of impurities in your body.
If you don’t get enough zinc or iron, you may also suffer abnormal hair loss. Being sure that you eat foods containing plenty of these minerals is essential to regrowing the hair you have lost. Red meat offers lots of zinc, and also helps to improve your sex life. If you want a healthy scalp, then you should also get enough Pantothenic Acid. Cells need this acid in order to convert food into energy. Hair loss and constipation are just two of the problems that you may experience without an adequate amount of this essential nutrient.
