My Top 5 Xbox 360 Games of All-Time

Monday, November 23rd, 2009

It’s amazingly been 3 whole years since I bought my Xbox 360, and I thought I’d give a quick rundown about the best games I’ve ever owned. I have a slight partiality toward sports games, so there may be a bit of a bias here. Don’t hold it against me. Nonetheless, this is about my favorites, so whatever I say goes!

5- Tiger Woods golf. I’ve always been a huge fan of this series, dating back to my high school days when the game had first come out on the Playstation system. This is as real as it gets as far as golf games go, and amazingly, the game seems to improve each time they release a new version. I love it.

4- John Madden football. I don’t even know which year to choose, I love this game so much, but if we’re talking about the Xbox 360, we have to go with the most recent one, Madden 2010. This is an exceptional football game, and after getting it wrong during the first release for the 360, the Madden series has returned to its former glory.

3. Fight Night Round 3. A classic boxing game that came out right after the launch of the Xbox 360 console. Somehow, it still feels just as new and relevant today. How many games can you say that about four years later? Enough said.

2. Call of Duty 4. The very definition of online play was changed with this game, and it was all for the better. Multi-player gaming was never as fun as it was once this game came out, and I still can’t think of a game I’d rather play online.

1. Rock Band. This one may bug some pure “gamers”, but the most fun I’ve ever had on an Xbox 360 has come from playing Rock Band, hands down. Did I mention I’m a music lover too?

You Need A Flat Screen To Compete In Online Games

Saturday, September 12th, 2009

Anyone who is a gamer may have played one of the multiplayer games that are online either through their computer or a game console. Most houses either have an Xbox or a Wii and multiplayer games are booming as kids and adults love playing against players from all over the world right from their living rooms. But if you are playing on an older television with a small screen, you are really playing at a tremendous disadvantage.

Most players (including kids) are now playing on big flat screen TVs which make the games a ton more fun and make them easier as well. If you are playing on an old television, you are competing against others that have the best screens that make it much easier to see your surroundings and maneuver around the game. Someone playing on a small screen has hardly any chance of beating others who are playing on these new state of the art flat screens.

There are other reasons why you might be getting beaten in your online games and that involves the type of connection you have. If you are one of the few without the best connection speeds, the other players will all have a big advantage over you. Some players even have the latest FIOS connection that is fiber optic cable and that it hard to compete against.

Your television screen quality can also play a part. There is a new flat screen that has just come out on the market with LED backlighting and the picture from that screen is incredible. With or without HD, the new LED flat screens are gorgeous and give you the best clarity on the market. The clearer the picture, the better your chances are at doing well in the game.

Finally, the players you play against could have some of the accessories that make playing easier. For instance, if you have a WII you can buy a variety of guns that will make aiming easier and more accurate. If you are playing with the normal controls against a field of players who are equipped with the latest gun accessory, their aim may be better and they might be able to maneuver more quickly. Playing multiplayer games online is fun but unfortunately it is not a level playing field for everyone.

Download XBOX 360 Games That Work - It’s Easy!

Saturday, June 20th, 2009

If you are the lucky owner of an Xbox 360, then you may have heard about the option of using Xbox 360 downloads on your system. You can now download games, movies and music and use them instantly on your system.

As more people hear about using Xbox 360 downloads, we seem to be getting more and more emails from people asking how to find and use Xbox 360 game downloads. We thought it might be useful to put together a quick article showing you your options so you can start to download Xbox 360 games right away.

Option #1 - Download XBOX 360 Games

You first option is to search for “free xbox game downloads” and see what you can find. There are some websites that advertise having free downloads for the xbox and other systems. However, there are a few things you need to know before you press that ‘download now’ button.

The first and biggest problem you need to be aware of is that these websites are famous for spreading viruses and spyware. The files that are on them are not monitored by anyone and a large percentage of them are viruses that have been added by people that like to causes problems. Unfortunately, there’s no way of knowing what you are downloading in advance so you put your computer at risk whenever you click that “download now” button.

Another annoying thing about these websites is that the download speeds are incredibly slow. It’s not unusual to wait well over a day just for one file to finish downloading.

You will also find that there are a lot of xbox 360 downloads on these websites that don’t even work once you download them. The files are corrupt or damaged which means you just waited over a day for a “dud” file to download. Very annoying!

We just don’t see the point of using these websites. You can put your computer at risk and waste your time all at the same time.

Option #2 - XBOX 360 Downloads

This option is a much better choice for people that want to download Xbox 360 games instead of having to buy new games each time they want one. You can download xbox 360 games without worrying about slow download speeds, “corrupted” files or viruses.

As more and more people saw the demand for Xbox 360 downloads, a few businesses decided to capitalize on this trend and open up specialized Xbox 360 game download websites that people could use without the hassles of the first option. These websites charge a small membership fee (roughly $50 on average) that lets members have unlimited access to xbox 360 downloads for as long as they have their system.

Considering that the price of this type of membership is less than the cost of just one Xbox game, this can be a huge money saver for people. You can download as many games or movies as you want (including new releases) and are only ever billed the one time.

Since the companies that run these websites are in it to make a profit, they make sure that their customers stay happy. The download speeds they offer are fast, the files always work and the selection is huge. The service takes about 5 minutes to set-up and is completely legal and protected from any viruses.

At the bottom of this article you will find a link you can use to learn how to get a free trial at a couple of the most popular xbox 360 download websites. It takes about 5-10 to setup and all the software you need to use the games on your xbox is included.

I’m always a little surprised that there aren’t more people using this type of service. It’s a lot cheaper and easier than buying games at the stores. I imagine that many people just aren’t aware of the xbox download services that are now available.

Once you start using Xbox 360 downloads you can quickly build up a massive library of games and movies for your system. A word of caution though - it’s highly addictive! Happy gaming!
